{"id":3057,"date":"2011-06-15T20:06:57","date_gmt":"2011-06-15T20:06:57","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/peacepalsinternational.org\/?p=3057"},"modified":"2017-03-17T20:09:23","modified_gmt":"2017-03-17T20:09:23","slug":"art-class-in-japanese-high-school-peace-pals-international-art-contest","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/peacepalsinternational.org\/es\/art-class-in-japanese-high-school-peace-pals-international-art-contest\/","title":{"rendered":"[:en]Art class in Japanese High school &#8211; Peace Pals International Art Contest[:]"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>[:en]<\/p>\n<p>Warm greetings to the Peace Makers around the world from Japan,<\/p>\n<p>My wife and I are running Peace education programs \u201cEarth Kids Space\u201d in two locations in Iwate Prefecture, in north-eastern Japan. \u201cEarth Kids Space\u201d programs are promoted by the Goi Peace Foundation in\u00a0Oshu city and Ichinoseki city<\/p>\n<p>In 2011 Earth Kids of \u00a0Iwate was asked to participate in the Peace Pals Art Exhibition and Awards\u00a0by the WPPS Japan office.<\/p>\n<p>The theme of the contest was very timely for Earth Kids in Iwate, since we were hit by the Great Eastern Japan Earth Quake and Tsunami and we wanted to respond to the kind messages from the various countries to Japan. \u00a0We are very happy that some of our children were chosen each year as winners or finalists since then.\u00a0 Earth Kids children will participate in the contest this year again.<\/p>\n<p>I have been giving classes as an art lecturer at Senmaya high school since this April when the Japanese new school year started.
